- Guest Speaker: This month our speaker will be Mike Sherry Speaker. Mike is the Artistic Directer of Backdoor Theater.
Mike Sherry is New Jersey born and raised. After living and studying in New York City, Michael is a graduate of AMDA and Elon University in North Carolina. Regional credits include A Chorus Line, Oklahoma, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Big River. Off-Broadway credits include Dickens’s- A Christmas Carol, and one of the first Off-Broadway project productions of The Phantom of the Opera. Other credits include Cats and Hairspray. Michael moved to Wichita Falls to dance for the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre. Later Michael was asked to direct and choreograph Backdoor Theatre’s production of A Chorus Line, and later Chicago. Michael would not be here if it were not for Erin Murphy, his inspiration for dance and prima ballerina.
Mike will relate some background of the theater and alert us of Backdoor’s Theatre School.

Guest Speaker: This month our speaker will be Roddy Atkins, Executive Director of the Helen Farabee Center in Wichita Falls.
We will also hear about our Popcorn and Politics program that will be starting up in the Fall.
June speaker was Mr. Allen Peterson of the Community Health Center (https://www.chcwf.com). Mr. Peterson will update us on the Affordable Care Act and how it is working.
Many of us are eligible for Medicare and may not have an interest, but you may have friends or family who are!

Guest Speaker: Alieca Hux
Alieca was a former State President of the Texas Democratic Woman. She will speak to us about the importance of women being involved in our political system. She currently lives in Sulphur Springs, Texas
